The Padelford Riverboat Company has been providing memories for brides and grooms for 38 years. Ceremonies, receptions, groom’s dinners and rehearsal dinners have all taken place aboard our boats, which accommodate 50-710 guests. Enclosure of our boats, as well as heat and air conditioning guarantees that you will go out rain or shine. Unlike other riverboats and reception facilities, we do NOT charge an 18-25% service fee and there is no tipping--it is our pleasure to serve you.

Looking for a place during the winter months? The University of Minnesota Showboat and Event Center is available September through May. This permanently moored boat has heating and air-conditioning with two Victorian reception rooms that adjoin a magnificent 219 seat theater, which is perfect for a wedding ceremony. The grand staircase is ideal for photographs.

Whether you choose to “one stop shop” with a wedding package or go “ala carte” –the choice is up to you. Padelford Riverboats are available for exclusive private events including conventions, meetings, weddings,etc. day or evening for groups of 50 to 710 from April through October. With a Private Charter you have exclusive use of the riverboat. Rates start at $600 per hour. Full bar, complete white linen dining service, bands and DJ service available. For a very special private event try a Padelford theme cruise: Las Vegas Night, Caribbean Cruise, Fabulous Fifties Reunion, Mexican Fiesta, Oktoberfest, Northwoods Adventure. Your cruise is three hours long and you have an additional 30 minutes prior to departure for boarding and 15 minutes following the cruise for departure and removal of party and entertainment equipment. Discounts are available for senior citizen daytime events and school proms/graduation parties in April, May and June.
