Maggie Sottero Wedding Gown from Mestads, Rochester Minnesota

Kristina & Chris - Rochester, MN

Kristina Wright-Peterson (nurse at the Mayo Clinic) and Chris Hesby (General Manager at the Canadian Honker Resturant) met nearly 6 years ago through mutual friends. Chris popped the question to Kristina one day with a dozen roses and a ring. “I totally wasn’t expecting it” Kristina remembered. Once she said “yes” the planning began. “It was important for us to choose and support local businesses when planning the wedding.” Kristina says. And so it was, all wedding vendors were from the general Rochester area. The couple was engaged for about a year and a half.

The ceremony was held at Calvary Episcopal Church, in Rochester. Kristina was given away by her late father’s best friend which made for one of the most special and memorable parts of Kristina’s big day. The couple had about 80 guests at the ceremony. Kristina looked breathtaking in her Maggie Sottero wedding gown from Mestads and Chris and his men looked dapper in their Tuxedos, also from Mestads. Bridesmaids wore simple black gowns which allowed Kristina to play with the other colors of the wedding – pink and green. “The black dresses and Tuxedos really showed off the fun colors we chose,” recalls Kristina. Bridesmaids alternated between pink and green bouquets.

The reception was held at the International Events Center. The 240 guests mingled with appetizers and drinks for Happy Hour to the smooth tunes of a Jazz Trio. Later J-Sun Entertainment took over and spun the tunes for a memorable and fun party. When asked if she had anything she would do differently Kristina remarked “Only small things. Our wedding day was amazing. I was so pleased, I really would not change a thing.”
