DIY Wedding Beauty Tips

DIY Wedding Beauty Tips

Like any big celebrity at an awards show, they prepare WAY before they walk the red carpet. Brides can get the same great red carpet look by following this DIY countdown and beauty tips to achieve they glamour you want for your special day.

• 30 Days Before: Tone up

Begin expanding your workout regime to include toning exercises for the biceps, triceps and shoulders. Make sure to do daily abdominal exercises or add two Pilates classes to your weekly routine.  This mix of toning exercise will ensure a defined, toned look prior to any special event or start of the bathing suit season.

• Two Weeks Before: Get glowing

Prepare your body and skin for a healthy glow by trying a detoxification wrap or at-home detoxification diet to flush your system of unwanted toxins that can give your skin a dull, tired look.

• One Week Before: Pay attention to your backside

If you’re wearing something backless or heading out in a back- or arms-bearing top, try a facial focused on your backside. It’s important to do this early and a couple of times to ensure your skin has time to react to the benefits. This will help balance, smooth and tone, leaving a nice healthy glow to show off those fabulously toned arm and back muscles.

• A Couple of Days Before: Face time

Anti-aging facials can immediately reduce the appearance of wrinkles, smoothing fine lines and helping achieve a youthful glow. Facials are best the day before or morning of a special event. At-home facials with cold cucumbers for your eyes help achieve a remarkably refreshed appearance.

• Most Essential Beauty Tip: Rest up!

It’s called beauty sleep for a reason and is essential to ensuring a fresh, relaxed appearance. After all, no one wants to worry about their eyes looking tired and dull due to lack of sleep!

Summertime Weddings!

Summer is one of the most loved seasons for weddings. The warm breezes, sunny weather, open settings and vibrant colors are sure create spectacular wedding celebrations. With that, it brings some challenges like heat that should be taken into consideration in your décor.

Some great ways to incorporate cool and fresh natural elements like bamboo furniture, lush green plants, and vibrant shades of colors in linens or florals. You could also use items like limes and lemons in vase fillers to add a pop of color to the tables. Summer produces great opportunity for florals like white peonies and lilies.

Tips for Outdoor Weddings:

Ensure your guests are comfortable in the heat by choosing locations with shade or by providing fans which can be a decorative element as well.

Offer mini sunscreen bottles for guests or have your ushers give guests ice-cold bottles of water as they are seated that could be adorned with your monogram

Be sure you have proper sound to combat outdoor noise like wind, waves or public noise

If the site plays a large role in your décor, visit the week before your wedding to make sure the grass is mown, the ground raked, and the flowers have bloomed

Battle of the bugs! Be sure to put out citronella candles or a bug zapper so that your guests won’t spend the whole ceremony swatting at the air (that could also be used as ambiance)

Enjoy the great outdoors as the setting for your beautiful wedding.
